Ronald Blythe (b. 1922) is an English writer and editor, best known for his work "Akenfield: Portrait of an English Village" (1969), an account of life in a Suffolk village from 1880 to 1966. It was made into a 1974 film "Akenfield" by Peter Hall. [Listener: Christopher Sykes; date recorded: 2014]
