"Read All About It"
Pitch black with a dim light
Repressive silence with a shattering voice
Chords cut, so I began to compose
Laid out the pages neatly, and spilled the ink.
"Read all about it" is a lyrical piece that portrays the struggles of being afraid to communicate. At times, vocal communication is simply not possible. But, we choose to not let our thoughts be subjugated—we choose to express it in our art, our papers, our actions. Today, we express it in our dance.
Choreographed by Alina Zhu, Frances Jih, Michelle Tsui, & YeeAnn Chen.
Performed at Zellerbach Playhouse at the University of California, Berkeley.
