Home made pig rotisserie. We tried to build the whole thing with simple parts that can be purchased at Home Depot. The low RPM motor is a windshield wiper. We used controller we found online to fine tune the speed for the rotation. The motor turns a bicycle wheel, stylish pink chain rotates the pig. The pig is on a 1/2 inch gas pipe that has a ring attachment we found at Home Depot. We screwed a small chain ring to this attachment at the end of the gas pipe. The gas pipe sits on 2 pairs of furniture wheels to allow smooth rotation even with the 40 pounds weight. The pig was fixed to the pipe with axle U bolts and steel wires. We used concrete blocks to create a bed for the firs, laid down some lava rocks at the bottom and used charcoal without lighter fluid. Our biggest issue was that the pipe was rotating inside the pig without rotating the pig itself. It was very hard to fix the pig tight enough to keep it consistently on the pipe. Drilling two wholes in the pipe and pushing something trough the pipe and the pg would have been a better solution. That would also allow the use of some counterweight on the pig, to help the motor turning the pig easier.
