Many churches in Valdosta Georgia throughtout the country commit spiritual robbery by threatening their members with curses for not supporting their professional hirelings.
But they twist scripture to do it. In this video we see that the curse was on the nation of Israel, for not tithing their food crops and animals to the temple to help feed the poor, orphans, and widows of Israel. It has NOTHING to do with the church of the new testament.
The apostles did not tithe to a religious system because there wasn't one. The early church met in homes and did not have paid professional clergy, and the church was not givided into the clergy/laity that it is today. Church buildings, professional clergy, clergy ruling over the laity, and "worship services" are ALL pagan concepts that did not enter the scene until wolves entered in among God's people during the time of Constantine. You will not find any of that in the new testament. Now you know why your church experience doesn't match what you read in scripture.
