Showing how to easily reactivate a faded thermal paper receipt using a George Foreman grill.
Receipts printed on this paper tends to fade over time to look as if it's a blank piece of paper. This trick heats all the thermal paper, but as the text areas were previously treated they will stay the same white as previously, but the rest of the paper will turn black. This allows you to read them again easily.
I'd recommend scanning them at this point! As I now scan all new receipts straight away, and only needed to do this to scan old paperwork.
I had to do this as other suggested tricks such as hair dryers, light bulbs, kettle or iron, either were too slow/messy/cumbersome.
