I discovered that the head unit upgrade in my new (to me) Vibe was going to be messy about halfway through. You'll notice my mood change. I have the upgraded Monsoon sound system including a subwoofer, which meant that I had some research to do in the middle.

Here's a brief summary of what I learned today:

Ideally, the new head unit has line-level outputs - mine does!

The new head unit should NOT decide when to turn off and on the amplifier under the passenger seat. Ug. Connect that amp to the red Accessory wire, baby.
