Dana Bourgeois has been an influential figure in the boutique guitar world for decades, and this spruce and walnut OMC, crafted just two years after he set up his own shop in Lewiston, Maine in 1993, demonstrates why he's held that place for so long. It has a warm, snappy tone that does well when dug into, and a strong mid-range that works beautifully for folky fingerstyle and accompaniment. Dana was one of the first luthiers to bring back the OM shape, and his OMC sports a gentle Venetian cutaway to provide additional reach up the neck. The very thin finish on this 26-year-old guitar does bear some signs of wear, but it's all of the type that tells you this guitar was lovingly played-in, and well cared for overall. There are pick marks on and around the pickguard, and the natural scuffs in the finish, but it's well set-up and in fantastic playing condition.
