Hi guys! Welcome to lesson 124 of Learn That Solo! Today we look at how to play the solo from 'Iron Man' by Black Sabbath.
I put off learning this song when I was young because I thought it was nonsense. Now I relise it's awesome and has heaps of attitude
The whole solo consists of very orthodox pentatonic shredding and 'rocking out'. It's almost entirely based around position 1 of the minor pentatonic in the key of C#. This is a great solo for 2 finger legato and drilling the most common box shape of the pentatonic, along with incorporating some basic techniques like bends, hammer ons and pulloffs.
Take care guys! Happy shredding!
