Buy CRT Xenon on Ebay :- [ Ссылка ]
Like the majority of people you meet when talking about CB Radio I as around in the early Eighties when cb Radio was first legalised in the Uk SO FOR MOST PEOPLE IN cb Radio this is a second go. A lot of the rigs I review on this channel are from that early era of UK CB Radio but over the years a lot has changed around the 27Mhz band.
Since the early eighties we have had the old CB Radio channels expand from 40 channels to 80 Channels including deregulation around transmitting on both AM and FM Modes across Europe. In addition it is now possible to transmit on Sideband or SSB at a higher wattage than the previously permitted 4 Watts
The CB Rsdios of yesteryear bear little resemblance to most of he more up to date CB Radios that are on the market nowadays including Multicolour LED Displays, Full menu driven controls and a raft of additional frequencies and modes.
For most people who remember CB Radio from the Eighties you’ll probably buy an old Eighties rig from Ebay and this would be your start point back into the hobby but what if instead of doing that you opted to go for a brand new up to date Radio that are available nowadays?
So the idea behind the next few review videos is to look at if you were just getting into the hobby what sort of choice is there out there for new CB Radios, how do they differ in terms of features, ease of use and how do they differ from the older CB Radios
So the first rig I thought we’d take a look at is the CRT Xenon since it comes in at just £50 and is good first radio in terms of price and features. The Xenon is slightly bigger than the CRT One which we have looked at on this channel before and is probably there highest selling model. The Xenon though has a number of additional features that are better suited for a mobile set up since it is slightly bigger than the crt one and consequently has a bigger display
When you first look at it the first thing you do notice is the size. Even for a small older rig this is very compact. The Mic is also different to older rigs since it connects via RJ45 and has button controls on the mic itself.
