The last thing we want to do with our precious weekend time is fuss with our hair, but like most fashion girls, we still want to look effortlessly chic and put together in our off-duty lives. Here, celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin shows us how to get a perfect topknot in minutes.

Begin by taking sections and spray texture spray at the roots. Take the hair and curl sections of it on a wand, wrapping away from the face. Once you’re finished with all the curls, use your fingers to break them up a little bit. Take just a little dab of Osmo clay wax and run it through your hair. Flip your hair upside down and gather your hair into a high ponytail. Next, take some hairspray and secure all of the baby hairs. To finish, tie an actual knot with your ponytail and use hairpins to secure it around the base.
