Candidates cast their votes for the second phase of West Bengal Assembly elections, 2016. TMC candidate, Bhaichung Bhutia and Congress MP’s Abu Hasem Khan Chowdhury and Mausam Benazir Noor feel confident about their respective victories.
Bhaichung Bhutia said, "Polling has been going very peacefully by far. I want the citizens to vote for development."Poling began with great enthusiasm in 56 assembly constituencies spread over seven districts in phase two of the West Bengal Assembly election on Sunday.
So far, voters in 49 of the total 294 constituencies have exercised their franchise on two dates – 4 and 11 April – that comprised the first phase.
West Bengal is having a staggered six-phase election. Polling for the remaining phases will be held on 21, 25, 30 April and 5 May.
