Many countries around the world have banned landmines. Under the terms of the
Ottawa Convention which was sealed in 1997, governments commit themselves to destroy their stocks of landmines. Campaigning for that convention began 20 years ago. Now, an exhibition at the German Foreign Ministry serves as a reminder of why the convention is so important.
