I can remember as a young guitar player being so frustrated that I couldn't make my barre chords sound like the riffs I was hearing my favorite guitarists (and especially EVH) play....and how learning about intervals and smaller chord voicings unlocked an entire new world! In this video we not only break down some classic Van Halen riffs, but I give you a short masterclass in the sounds of the intervals within a key, and some great ways on how to practice them all over the neck!
