A compilation of some parts of beating Night Terror mode in this game. The actual game is over 80 hours long so there's no way I can show all of it.
Distorted Travesty 3 is a very challenging, free action-platformer with excellent combat and platforming. I highly recommend it.
Night Terror is a silly hard difficulty mode where you're severely underpowered, have severely less resources and you also die in one hit. It's very fun.
In this game you can switch between four different styles, each with their own set of three attacks. Naturally all enemies are weak or strong against different attacks. You also get a ground dash and an air dash for invulnerability frames. The amount you have left is displayed in the green meter on the top-left. You also get a double jump later on. Double jump and air dash refresh when you hit an enemy.
Some notes:
1:45 Elpizo - Hitting the shield or staying inside the squares will increase the Nightmare meter. If it fills up you have to fight his super form. He will regenerate health during this form.
5:37 Vault Demon - In this fight you have a hydration meter and touching water refills it. The Vault Lavaball will make the water lave until you kill it. Boss itself is weak to shot when he shoots fireballs and is weak to piercing when he shoots the lighting.
10:33 Brain Machine - In the last part of the fight he is only weak to the corresponding color ring that's around him. Yellow is buster, green is shotgun ice and red is gravity well.
15:14 Combat Apparatus - Weak to shot when he's doing the horizontal lasers and weak to gravity well/missiles when he's doing the aimed laser. The extra patterns in this fight start appearing at certain HP thresholds and cycle on a timer. You have to manage his health carefully to prevent all attacks from overlapping at once and making it literally impossible.
24:33 Abomination - You can only hurt the boss when the instruments are playing. You hit them to make them activate for a certain time.
36:42 Hex (Warship) - This fight has a bunch of gimmicks to it. There are bullets you can only destroy with the partner shield and bullets that go right through the partner shield. The laser cage around the partner shield also prevents you from switching until you destroy it. This fight has patterns that run on a timer and patterns that appear at HP thresholds, so be careful.
49:18 Pong - The audio desyncs here but I'm not sure how to fix it, I'm sorry. In this fight you really want to destroy the red bullets before they get in the way too much.
