How to Sew A Contour Dart
Contour dart is long and is used to shape the waistline area of garments that do not have a waistline seam.
Step 1 Transfer all Dart
Step 2 Sew Dart
Fold along the Centre of the dart and pin at 90 degree angle to the dart leg markings
Using 2.5 stitch length and regular sewing foot, Start stitching at the Centre of the dart.
Stop 1/2 before the point, reduce stitch length to 1.5, continue stitch to the point,
When you get to the end of the point, don’t backstitch. Just leave a long tail of threads.
Step 3 Trim and hand knot
Hand knot the thread at the end of the dart.
Trim the threads.
Step 4 Press Contour Dart
