This is one of four tracks from my 'Blue Diamonds' demo. Copyright of Louise Willott.
This song is about hope. I wrote it on a (rare) sunny day whilst sitting with my legs dangling over the water at Bristol's harbourside. It's one of my favourite spots in Bristol. I am a big lover of the sun and can be known to get a bit down through the long winters/disappointing summers we experience in England. It always seems to me that whatever is going on in life, no matter how bad things might get- when you feel the sun on your skin and can stop to appreciate its warmth creeping through your veins... everything just seems better, easier even. Life can often just move too fast and you miss the peaceful moments like sitting dangling your legs over the water on a sunny day, watching the swans glide by and narrowboats bob up and down on the water. But if you stop and appreciate it all- well that's when the magic happens and hope can begin to grow again.
