Are you thinking about retiring soon? Are you looking for an affordable town to retire in The United States? Maybe you aren't retiring but still looking for a nice town where you can afford a home or a chunk of real estate. If you are in those situations this video is for you.

We did this video a few years back and had the price at $1500 because that was the average SSI payment and it was close to ½ the average military retirement payment. Things have changed in 2022, housing costs are up, the cost of living, in general, is up and health insurance has gone up.
These videos are just telling you what it takes to get by on the basics. You aren’t going hungry, your rent or house payment should be meant, and you don’t have to be worried about your utilities being cut off. But let’s be honest. If you are retiring on just SS, you’ll probably need a part-time job to help with healthcare and extras. This is just a very basic look for the average person. Everyone has a different financial situation.
Today are looking at the South West, which will include Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, and New Mexico. We already had Arizona and New Mexico in a previous video but they are also in the SW region.
