After Queens Village had gotten a good portion of their own 2022 LFS' that were ordered as an option order from the primary order of LFS HEV's in The Bronx and Manhattan, Jamaica had been up next for their own amount of buses, and started receiving units in early May. Instantly, they started putting units and service, and deliveries have been going on rapidly as of this video's upload. Queens Village and Jamaica units have been running together on the streets of Queens, serving both the more populated areas and much of the outer more rural neighborhoods and areas. Jamaica's last received Nova Bus LFS' were ordered and delivered from 2015-2016, with Jamaica also being the holders of the 2014 Nova Bus LFS demo (8090) that was eventually rejected in favor of a new unit, for unknown reasons. Jamaica after in 2017 also tested the pilot for the 2017-2019 XD40 series, which they have a large fleet of today as well, being the only New Flyers in the fleet. These 2022 LFS', also nicknamed 'Coneheads' or 'Coneys' by bus fans, are Jamaica's first fleet returning to Nova Bus and will grow their fleet range for Nova Buses as the order continues to grow. The units featured in this video are 8847 which appears at the beginning of the video, then 8859 which is the majority, showing interior footage, and then a quick glimpse of 8832 as it passes by one of the shots during the ride. There is also a Queens Village unit, 8838, shown passing by one of the shots as well. #MTABus
