Oregon artist Heather Fortner shows us the ancient Japanese art of fish printing using some familiar Northwest fish. Gyotaku is a unique art form which as been practiced for hundreds of years in Japan and is making its presence felt within Oregon's arts community.

This Oregon Field Guide story first premiered in February 2001. Fortner passed away in 2022.
