The Lucas Oil Gear Stack demonstration gizmo is probably the best known promotional item in all of automotive history, but there are two things wrong with it. First, it is based on a situation that does not exist inside any automotive engine, and secondly, it showcases a characteristic that is the exact opposite of how you want the oil in your engine to behave!
In spite of that, it's still a product we've found good use for and would recommend to others.
