Yosemite National Park Day 1 - Yosemite Valley

We started off our Yosemite hiking adventure with the Mist Trail, one of the most famous and most beautiful trail in the park. The Mist Trail takes you past 2 incredible waterfalls, Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls, which are SO powerful and SO stunning to stand beneath. Depending on when you visit, you may be blasted with mist from the water hitting the rocks as you pass them, hence the name of the trail!

El Capitan is one of the most noticeable features in Yosemite. El Capitan is a 3,000 foot block of sheer granite that rises straight up from the El Capitan Meadow right beneath it. This place was featured in Free Solo, which chronicled Alex Honnold's ascent up this monstrosity without using a single rope! When you see it up close and personal, you'll realize just how ridiculous and incredible that feat really was.
Yosemite National Park Day 2 - South Rim

Yosemite's South Rim is the second best area of the park, only to Yosemite Valley. And Glacier Point is the furthest place you can drive to along the South Rim. Glacier Point offers an incredible bird's eye view of Half Dome and the majority of Yosemite Valley. If you look closely, you'll be able to spot Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls and track the route you hiked along the Mist Trail! Seeing Yosemite from above is truly inspiring.

Sentinel Dome and Taft Point are both wonderful sites, and you can see both of them on an awesome loop hike along the South Rim! Start by going to Sentinel Dome, the highest point on this adventure, where you'll be treated to a panorama view of the entire Yosemite Valley and surrounding landscape. El Capitan to your left, Half Dome to your right, this is a beautiful site. Taft Point offers an insane view right at the edge of a cliff (behind a railing of course). This is an incredible place to pause and reflect and enjoy all of nature's beauty spread before you.

Hi, we are Julie & Zach, a couple who sold everything in 2018 and took off an adventure around the world! So far, this journey has taken us in a van ALL ACROSS the United States and Canada, from snorkeling with manatees in Florida to camping in the Grand Canyon to climbing glaciers in Canada, and everything in between! We were both working and going to school while living in Chicago in 2017 and 2018, and to be honest it really wore on us. We were exhausted, unfulfilled, and ready for an adventure. So, we made it happen! We saved up AS MUCH as we could over those 2 years - all homemade meals, no shopping, walk or bike everywhere, etc - and sold almost all of our belongings! With that money, we bought a renovated a van that we have been living in ever since! We started our YouTube channel a few weeks ago and have been loving creating videos! When we started, we were SO SO SO SO bad at it, and to be honest we still kinda suck, but we want to get better! What videos do you want to see? What do you want to know? We believe that travel is truly a life-changing experience, it certainly changed ours! When you get out of your everyday world and experience new cultures, foods, places, people, sights, sounds, and take an adventure, you grow as a person and you become a better version of yourself!
