In a new book by former U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor Matt Pottinger stresses the importance of deterrence strategies for Taiwan to prevent a costly war. Pottinger also analyzes Chinese President Xi Jinping's behavior towards the democratic island. The book titled, "The Boiling Moat," is set to be available July 1, 2024.
