The family of a 23-year-old man who was fatally shot by police officers in San Bernardino is filing a $100 million lawsuit against the police department on Friday.

Police say Adams was armed during the encounter while his family denies that allegation, saying he was holding a phone instead. Security video appears to show Adams being shot multiple times in the back.
