Sometimes we follow the blueprints... but alot of times we try to get creative and dream up a new way. On our house exterior gables we decided to forgo classic cedar shakes or cheaper vinyl shakes for a cement composite. With that we still wanted a very wood, textured look. Here's how we achieved that look and installed ourselves on our self build.
