In this first part of his series on the gang wars in Underworld of Mumbai in the years late 70s and throughout 80s Baljeet Parmar goes on to recall how the gang rivalries started. The feud between D Company and then highly potent Pathan gang was fairly well settled in those days and it all started with fights over petty issues with young boys of both the gangs slugging it out. Baljeet Parmar cites account of several such meetings between Haji Mastan, Dawood Ibrahim and Karim Lala's Pathan gangs to iron out the differences but as luck would have it, the small tussles and ego clashes went to blow out into full blown gang wars later leading a lot of losses on all the sides, the sequel to this episode will follow in the next few weeks and as Baljeet Parmar points out, it is highly vital to not miss out the video till the end to understand the nuances of what will be discussed later on.
