After leaving the Conservative party in 1992 and campaigning against the Euro and European Union, Nigel Farage co-founded the UK Independence Party (UKIP) the following year. In addition to co-chairing the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy group, Nigel was, until recently, the leader of UKIP, and was named “Briton of the Year” in 2014 by The Times.
