November has arrived, and with its arrival, we pay tribute to Night Gallery. The series was a popular program that featured Rod Serling, but as we find out in this interview Mr. Serling gave on The Dick Cavett Show in the early 1970s (also a guest on the show that day was Arthur Clarke), Serling was not as 'hands-on' with the full production of this series as he had been the prior decade with his Twilight Zone series.

Nevertheless, Night Gallery was a terrific show, with outstanding production (the color film just pops off the screen) quality at a time when many series of that era have a less than spectacular color and production quality look to them.

Night Gallery originally premiered as a part of NBC's 'Four in One' anthology series, that also featured McCloud. Night Gallery, aka, 'Rod Serling's Night Gallery', ran on NBC from September 15, 1971 to September 6, 1972 in its hour format, and then from September 6, 1972 to January 14, 1973 in its half hour format.
