Here's an old song I rescued off a floppy from 1987 or so. A creative interpretation of Kraftwerk's "Europe Endless" I made for Activision's The Music Studio for the Amiga, back when I was in high school. It's being played on WinUAE here, but the sound is pretty authentic! Obviously this program is pretty primitive and thin-sounding by today's standards, but it did feature real-time software synthesis. The synthesizer is accessed by another screen, and was similar to the type of synthesis offered on the Fairlight, just much lower resolution. You could load presets or make your own sounds, and each song allowed you a palette of 15 different sounds, represented by different colors. You could also assign each color to a midi channel.
