An Elementary School Science Teacher is in a school nature garden talking about the importance of native plants providing a habitat for wildlife. Butterflies, bees, birds, amphibians and all wildlife need plants to provide food and shelter for their families. Butterflies require certain plants to complete their life cycle. This video will show the specific host plants that are needed by six different butterflies to lay their eggs. ( Monarch, Pipevine Swallowtail, Gulf Fritillary, Sulfur, Giant Swallowtail, and Tiger Swallowtail butterflies.)
