The DualCurtain Outdoor detector is a bi-directional curtain motion detector that uses IR sensors to identify moving objects. It also has temperature compensation that allows for accurate detection. This detector features two optical systems with narrow-viewing sectors, and each one is equipped with two PIR sensors. The sensor signals are analysed by a new algorithm called ELSA.
This detector also has a unique patented feature called Near Area Detection. When this is enabled, the detector's upper PIR sensor receives an additional narrow viewing sector directed at an angle of 40 degrees down from the main sector. This addresses the problem of the blind spot often found in other detectors.
