This dash-cam footage captured the thunder and lightning that startled people across Merseyside this morning.
Taxi driver Mick Ball recorded the video as he drove down Muirhead Avenue just after 2am.
Dozens of people across the region took to social media to report a flash and huge bang around the same time.
The incident was experienced by people in Speke, St Helens, Runcorn, Wallasey, Everton and elsewhere.
