There are eight forms of goddess Lakshmi called as Ashta Lakshmi. Each form of goddess Lakshmi represents each form of wealth.
The first form is Adi Lakshmi.
Also called as Maha Lakshmi, the word adi means old. So as name says, the ancient form of Lakshmi. Adi Lakshmi is born as a daughter of sage Bhrigu.
Dhana Lakshmi – this form of goddess Lakshmi represents money and gold.
Dhanya Lakshmi – this particular form of goddess Lakshmi represents agricultural wealth.
Gaja Lakshmi – this particular form of Lakshmi is giver of animal wealth like cow, goat, etc…
Santana Lakshmi – the form of Lakshmi which is the giver of children.
Veera Lakshmi – the form of Lakshmi which is the giver courage and strength for overcoming problems in life.
Vijaya Lakshmi – this form of Lakshmi is giver of victory not only in battles, but also in many problems in our life.
Vidya Lakshmi – the form of Lakshmi which represents knowledge of all science and arts.
Together all the forms of goddess Lakshmi is called as Ashta Lakshmi.
