The current narrative concerning the Roman Emperor Vespasian portrays him as a military genius of low origins who had "risen" to become Emperor.
It is understood that his path to power to become emperor came from the support of the army and the essential gaining of influential networks whilst in Judea. Emperor Vespasian may indeed have been a great general, and, currently, there may appear to be no reason to doubt his presented genealogy. The investigation here, however, aims to demonstrate that he was not Rome’s first non-noble ruler, but was in fact a descendant of Herod the Great, only the connection showing this was hidden.
