Giant floating violin makes its maiden voyage in Venice
They were aboard a big violin-shaped boat that was motoring through one of the city's famed canals.
On the 12-metre-long vessel dubbed the Violin of Noah, the musicians performed works by Vivaldi, one of the city's most famous composers.
De Marchi, dubbed "the Carpenter of Venice," designed the floating instrument to be easily disassembled and reassembled. It is powered by an electric motor, making it more eco-friendly.

The floating violin is being played by musicians from the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory.
