Finding solutions for my family and ensuring our family system runs smoothly is what my mind is consumed with the majority of the day. I realized that if I can attend to everyone’s needs and desires and not focus on what everyone wants is what gives me the capacity to serve them how they need.
I don’t focus too much on what everyone wants because, most of the time, wants are motivated by feelings, which need to be worked through for some time. Truth be told, I have many feelings that I am working through in such a tough season of life at the moment, and I have to remind myself to deal with those feelings when “it’s time.” For me, that time is my therapy sessions (that I go to twice a month, going down from four times a month), writing, working out, or reading.
Interestingly, when I work through my feelings, I realize most of the things I want are unnecessary, which gives me the capacity to see my needs and desires, which always come back to me being the best husband and father I could be.
Working through my feelings allows me to see opportunities like this to serve my family best and find solutions that keep everyone realizing they have what they need.
And most of the time, all we desire is to have our needs met.
This recipe is super simple and super easy to make, Charlotte loves it, and it keeps her stomach full and friction gone.
Also, you’re welcome for the goggles tip while cutting onions. I’m a real genius out here frfr.
