G’day my name is Shane Dowling and I publish the anti-corruption website Kangaroo Court of Australia. I’ve set up the GoFundMe crowdfunding page to raise money for my legal battle with Capilano Honey, to help fund writing my second book on judicial corruption and to help keep my website going so I can continue to publish articles.
I published my first article on the website in January 2011 so it been going almost 9 years and in that time I have published 100’s of articles and I have had my fair share go viral and I have written plenty of original content that has at times rattled people in authority while trying to do my part in keeping people in power accountable.
Kerry Stokes and his associated companies have been running dodgy lawsuits against me since 2014 and that includes Capilano Honey running their case against me since October 2016. I had a big win last year in the Supreme Court and then the Court of Appeal where a super-injunction and wide-ranging suppression orders and non-publication orders were lifted against me in the Capilano honey matter as they had no legal basis in the first place. But the court case continues and will likely run at least another 12 to 18 months.
It is a free speech matter and also a food fraud matter as Capilano Honey were caught selling fake honey last year.
So, I am asking for donations so I can keep defending myself against Capilano Honey which should benefit everyone.
I will also use the money to help write my second book on judicial corruption. I won’t say more than that at this point but I have no doubt it will be a powerful book that will hopefully help drive change.
I will also use the money to continue to write and publish articles on the Kangaroo Court of Australia website and to produce more videos.
New media publishers and independent journalists like myself do not make much money and as the media world changes we need to find ways to support the work we do. So, it would be greatly appreciated if you make a donation and help with the work I do. If I reach the target of $50,000 it will be budgeted to last 12 months.
