We love vintage synths! Especially the mighty Roland Juno-106 from 1984. Except when it breaks. It’s not unusual that one of the Juno’s six sound chips get broken in some way. They start crackling, get lower in volume, or lose their sound completely.
Time for a replacement! Roland do not make replacements anymore (did they ever?), but a person named Jeroen in Belgium does. So I ordered two replacement chips from him at analoguerenaissance.com. No affiliation.
Testing for the faulty chip and replacing it took me one afternoon. And on the next morning we did a little jam at the studio with Henna on the Juno and me on the Elektron Analog Rytm.
