Hey everyone! It's me, HawkeyeG with another video for you all. This time I've created a more general guide for the Cathay race in Total War: Warhammer III. The purpose of this guide is to provide some example army compositions that work for any of the current available Cathay factions. I have various examples of compositions for use in the early game, mid-game, and late game, and try to explain my though process behind them. I also touch briefly on what room you'd have for buildings in order to achieve these compositions at those points in the campaign. And I made sure to include demonstrations of these armies in battle as well! There's no DLC for Cathay at the release of this video - so when DLC does inevitably come out I'm sure there will be something to add!

Cathay is the second race I really got myself invested into. I thought I would like them a lot - they strike me as similar to the Empire in many ways, particularly in unit variety and specialty. Their campaign mechanics are also a bit stronger! But I think that some of the other gameplay and campaign mechanics of WH3 have made it difficult for me to adjust properly or enjoy the faction - or maybe it's just that the more effective (in my opinion) units aren't the ones I'd prefer to be using.

I do think Cathay has a pretty strong core of infantry however and there are plenty of good options to help augment that core. (I also really need to work harder on holding my cavalry in reserve a little longer...)
