Which 5150 style guitar tone was your favorite? I used two different amp sims here, but I used the same exact impulse responses on both metal guitar tones.

So many people keep saying “every 5150 amp sim sounds the same”, and I never agreed with that. I even did my best to MAKE these two tones sound identical, and they truly don’t, in my opinion. Even using the same exact impulse responses from my good friends at Paralleled Lives, these two heavy guitar tones sound completely different in my opinion.

The guitar used here was my @gocguitars Illumina + MTLX 7 string headless guitar direct into my Audient ID4 audio interface, and I used no post-processing of any sort aside from volume matching the two guitar tones as well as I could.
