Pakistan security agencies are on high alert amid rumours of a plot to assassinate former Prime Minister Imran Khan. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief has been making politically sensitive statements. Khan recently warned of civil war in Pakistan if his party’s demand for fresh elections was not met. He had also taken out ‘Azadi March’ towards the national capital demanding fresh polls for the National Assembly. But with the possible threat to his life, politics in Pakistan continues to get murkier.
