The Vatsonga or the Tsonga tribe are a bantu speaking tribe found in both Mozambique and South Africa. The Xigubo dance of the Vatsonga is a dance that was usually performed before war by warriors both males and females. It was performed to boost the morale of warriors before battles. In modern times it is mainly performed for entertainment and in traditional ceremonies.
