Disclaimer: this video may come across as out of touch, but it's a real issue that doctors must face given the amount of debt and opportunity cost it takes to go through medical training and so I thought it was a necessary topic to address! Often times we can get stuck comparing ourselves and determining our worth based on the salaries we are given - but is the grass really greener on the other side? Would we have been happier in another field? Or in another specialty? It can be a hard pill to swallow when you see your friends enjoying life and making money right after college, or when you see your friends who chose different specialties enjoy making several-fold what you make. So how can you reconciliate these thoughts with the reality that we are in a position far better than 95% of the American population?
