This tip is for helping children progress towards standing with minimal support. This is useful for children who are ready to walk but are not yet at the point of transitioning to stand alone. It is helpful for children with difficulty balancing or synergic reactions to help keep their body in place, and control their unwanted movements. Providing support using towels or linens allows the child to have their hands free, allowing them more control in attempts to balance and react with protective reflexes when falling forward.
