Your Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio weather forecast for Oct. 7, 2022: We're in for a chilly evening ahead! Temperatures are expected to tumble overnight leading to the issuance of a freeze watch for some. If you've got a green thumb and have a few special plants that hold your heart, make sure to move them into the garage or cover them properly this evening.
Tonight's likely not the only time we will deal with a freeze watch in place...tomorrow night will likely be the same deal especially for inland zones. The reason our lakeshore cuts a break here is because Lake Erie is still in the 60s this time of the year. With a breeze right off the "warm" lake, it helps keep our lakeshore counties a tad bit warmer. In short, this weekend is about to be unseasonably cool for this time of the year. We're feeling more like mid-November than early to mid-October temperature wise.
