With more than 8 billion km² of national territory, in-flight refuelling is mandatory for any Brazilian fighter. Gripen, due to its in-flight refuelling capability, will be able to reach any point of the Brazilian territory, in addition to meeting the other essential requirements of the Brazilian Air Force.
