Generally all kegs nowadays are made of 304L stainless. You can either bolt the hinges on or weld i welded them and the stainless 2" pipe used as the chimney. I used my miller mog to weld it up with regular steel filler. Yes it will rust but i did all this for less than 25$. I used a 4 1/2 angle grinder with cut off wheels you'll need 4 or 5 just to cut through the keg. The pipe fits perfectly snug in the tap hole. I used a 2x4 on top of the pipe with a mini sledge hammer and knocked it in. Works great! been used about a dozen times. Remember to have good sharp drill bits stainless is hard as hell. Also after cutting the keg in half use a flapper disc to tap off the burr. Used expanded steel for the too grill and self tappers for it to set on. Expanded metal on bottom slightly bent for the coal tray. Questions and comments below. Thanks for watching.
