What's up everyone! 🇳🇺 The Niue Athena Owl silver bullion coins have been minted since 2017 and this year 2022 saw the release of the sixth issue. With the exception of the change in years, the design of the coins have stayed the same throughout the series, much like the silver Britannias or Kangaroos. Many collectors consider these Owls as bullion coins and thus have little numismatic value.
However I have been intrigued by this design ever since learning about it when I first started stacking. None were ever sold here in Singapore so the thought of ever owning these coins was pushed to the back of my mind. After starting this channel on Youtube, it became apparent to me that these coins would make a perfect backdrop for my videos. So started the long search for online sellers who not only have these coins available but also, listed them at a reasonable premium.
After over a year of searching and looking, I finally came across two eBay sellers who had these coins at a price I was comfortable with. The packages arrived in mid-November and its time now to show the newest silver additions to my stack, and also feature the mascot of my channel!
