Naturally you don't want to mess too much with the classic Dark Souls formula, but there will be some sympathetic tweaks to the game to bring it in line with the more recent Dark Souls 3.
Obviously the biggest change will be the graphical fidelity, but that's not to say the remaster won't be tinkering with that sacred Dark Souls gameplay.
Dark Souls Remastered comes out on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch on release date 25 May 2018.
