The camera I used to use was a Panasonic HC-V750. It was good for a while, but I needed an upgrade. I went searching on B&H Photo & Video and found the Canon EOS Rebel T6i. I was comparing it against some of the other cameras I was thinking of buying like the SL1, 70D, and T5, but the T6i was the best out of all of them for my needs.
