Full video of all 4 stints I ran out on track for just a little over a hours worth of good hard lapping with tons of fun chasing down some friends, chasing down some high dollar cars and just having as good of a time as possible with everyone. Great day and I can’t be any happier with how well the Escort ran either. Met tons of new people and I appreciate all of you for coming over to shoot the shit.

To note, Slush Motorsports Festival Hotlaps in particular doesn’t necessarily have the highest skilled drivers, in fact a lot of the drivers the past 2 years have all been relatively new and inexperienced drivers. That’s actually awesome to see! I love having new people get into and addicted to this kind of motorsport! I’d say a handful of maybe 10 out of the 60ish drivers were very capable drivers that can be fast in any car you put them in. Having that many new and inexperienced people at a lapping event is relatively unheard of, but we made it work and everyone had a smile on their faces on and off track.

This is also an open lapping day where the track was open for 3 full hours of non stop driving so the amount of driving you did was really up to you or the car itself. We’re not racing here, although some moments you can consider some drivers were in a battle so to speak. Everyone was relatively respectful of each other on track allowing the faster car or driver on through, a couple others made ya earn it. All in good fun!

In the video there will be a few errors and lapse in judgement by others as well as myself with some passes that shouldn’t of ever done, particularly entering the esses. This is ok so long as a collective we learn from the mistakes and move onto the next track day with better standards and practices of track etiquette. I’m not perfect and I’ll never say I am. I am more than a competent driver but even the pros make mistakes so don’t let that demoralize you from honing your craft on track.
